Re: 2017 Edition Baseball Rules in Black and White release date.
Recently I
have had the opportunity to present Baseball Rules in Black and White to over 120
accomplished umpires at Mr. Billy Haze’s Black and Blue Umpire camps in
Sacramento and Riverside California. The overwhelming, response was extremely positive
and significant.
I spoke directly
to dozens of seasoned umpires. I heard them voice their pleasure that finally
there is a rule book that makes it easy to find, read and comprehend
complicated rules. Not only did these
men speak for themselves, they also volunteered their opinion that this book
would provide a significant advantage to beginning officials as well.
As promised,
the 2017 Edition of Baseball Rules in Black and White is in development with the
production team at Lulu Publishing. The
release date is December. The new
edition includes the 2017 high school rule changes and three additional rules. Also coming
out in early spring will be the 2017 Baseball Rules in Black and White “College
Baseball Rules Made Easy” version that will include the additional chapters and
the 2017 college rule changes.
When
something new comes along, being cautious is wise, but if being cautious
prevents you from doing your job better, that is unwise. The new user friendly format in this book
should not be feared, but rather embraced as these books can only help every official
become better, and isn’t that an umpire’s prime objective?
